Node.js deprecation warnings for end-of-life versions

Change effective on 28 April 2026

In accordance with our Node.js Version Support Policy, support for older versions of Node.js on Heroku is deprecated. Apps using end-of-life versions will continue to build for now, however, a deprecation warning will be shown in the build log.

For apps displaying this warning, we recommend upgrading to a newer Node.js version as soon as possible to ensure your app both remains secure and can also benefit from the performance and feature improvements found in newer versions of Node.js.
