Coralogix is a full-stack observability platform providing engineer teams deep insights with real-time analysis, monitoring, visualization, and alerting with no reliance on storage or indexing. Using proprietary Streama© technology, easily ingest log, metric, tracing, and security data from any source for a single, aggregated view of system health.

Automatically narrow down millions of events to common patterns for deeper insights and faster troubleshooting as data is ingested. Machine learning algorithms continuously monitor data patterns and flows between system components and trigger dynamic alerts when a pattern deviates from the norm.

To deliver full visibility with significantly lower costs, Coralogix’s TCO Optimizer enables you to route your logs to one of three data pipelines according to use case. Only critical data that needs to be available for frequent search is indexed while the remaining data can still be leveraged for monitoring and compliance uses without incurring the high indexing cost on data that will rarely be queried.

All data is written to your own Amazon S3 archive after parsing and enrichment. Use Coralogix’s Remote Query capabilities to query archived data with performance up to 5X faster Athena and no additional costs.

You can generate logs with any programming language and buildpack. Logs are automatically routed to Coralogix without any need to perform code or configuration changes. Coralogix’s Heroku Extension Pack comes ready with Heroku JSON parsing rules, 23 predefined alerts, and an overview dashboard that includes router service time and connect time views, bytes sent per minute, statuses per dynos, etc.

Provisioning the Coralogix add-on

Coralogix can be attached to a Heroku application via the Herkou CLI:

A list of all plans available can be found here.

$ heroku addons:create coralogix:startup

Viewing log data in the Coralogix dashboard

You can access the Coralogix dashboard via the Heroku CLI or the Heroku dashboard.

Accessing via the Heroku CLI

$ heroku addons:open coralogix

Accessing via the Heroku dashboard

  1. From the Heroku dashboard, select the app that has the Coralogix add-on installed.
  2. From your list of add-ons, select the Coralogix icon.
  3. After being redirected via SSO to your account on the Coralogix site, view your data from the Coralogix dashboard page.

Viewing log data in OpenSearch

In addition to providing a cutting-edge dashboard, Coralogix enables you to view your data in OpenSearch. You can use Coralogix for troubleshooting and version delivery monitoring and do your day-to-day data slicing with OpenSearch.

Migrating between plans

Use the heroku addons:upgrade command to migrate to a new plan:

$ heroku addons:upgrade coralogix:newplan

Removing the add-on

This will destroy all associated data and cannot be undone!

$ heroku addons:destroy coralogix

Advanced usage

For more information on Coralogix, see our website and our tutorials.

Support

All Coralogix support and runtime issues should be logged with Heroku Support at support.heroku.com. Any non-support related issues or product feedback is welcome at info@coralogix.com, or via our in-app Intercom chat.
